Mercy Chinwo Starts New Record Label, Drops ELEVATED EP
Popular Nigerian Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has just released her anticipated EP titled ELEVATED with a video “Wonder“, and for those who noticed, it doesn’t have the usual logo or trademark Eezee Concepts that typically starts songs from artists under the music company. Rather it is released under a new record label GNT Nation, and their logo takes the spot as the music video starts.
It was observed that the renowned artist was on quite a break with releases for a while and we have wondered why for over 6 months or more, her now former label Eezee Concepts no longer had Mercy’s photos, songs, events and sightings on their page. Neither the artist or former label have made any public statements on it, but it became fully evident to us when she started using the hastags #gntnation in her public posts while promoting the new EP.
It’s not clear whether GNT Nation is her Independent music outfit or an external music company.
ELEVATED, her new EP is a 6 track body of work with songs titles such as “Confidence” which was released in promotion of the EP, “Yesterday, Today and Forever“, “Wonder” whose video came out with the EP, and others. Mercy also acknowledged her hubby as executive director in her new video.
