Stream "Wherever I Go" single by Jackie Minton

Stream "Wherever I Go" on Apple Music

Singer-songwriter Jackie Minton traverses the gap between the sacred and the secular, daring us to question if there was ever distance between the two. Inspired by a long line of storytellers, her voice is evocative of Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, and Madison Cunningham.

Born in Arlington, Texas (the city that brought us Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, and The Pentatonix), Jackie was instilled with an appreciation for the arts from a young age. After picking up guitar and piano, she quickly took to writing and performing anywhere and for anyone, most recently chosen by Dermot Kennedy to open for his US headlining tour.

"Wherever I Go" is a beautifully written song that came out of a season of uncertainty in Jackie's life after attending Belmont University and wondering what would be next for her. Through details that only our creator God can orchestrate, she found a Bible in the grass opened to Joshua 1:9, "I'm with you wherever you go," as she heard God confirm that she was to move back home to Texas. Later that day, Jackie sat down at the piano and received this song. It came to her so simply, “I’m not alone. You’re wherever I go.” Produced by Will Hickl of Novum Collective and engineered by Mason Shirley at Sound Machine Studios, the track reveals a departure from her acoustic roots and opens to a broader sonic landscape, previously unexplored.
