MRG Pays Homage To His Afro-Caribean Roots With New Summer Anthem 'B.O.M.B.S.'

 

After hitting the airwaves earlier this month with a Power 105.1 world premiere via DJ Self, Spanglish rapper MRG officially shares his new reggaeton-infused single "B.O.M.B.S" on all major digital streaming platforms today (4/18/2025) via EMPIRE. With production and a guest verse from Mostwanted (credited on Young MA's smash hit "Ooou", etc.), the song arrives just in time to usher in the warmer seasons around the globe.

“Man, I’m so proud of this record. It was actually the last track recorded for the album, and I had no plans to include it at first. Shout out to MostWanted—that’s my brother way before the music. He produced the beat, jumped on a verse, and it ended up becoming a single without us even planning it. This song really reflects both mine and MostWanted’s Caribbean roots. It’s a tribute to our Latino culture—Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico—and the deep influence of our heritage. "B.O.M.B.S." is the second single from MRG's forthcoming long-awaited debut album It's MRG Not Mr. G, set to release April 25th. The album will serve as the full-length follow-up to his 2019 project Live From The Hurst 2, the full-length sequel to the Live From The Hurst EP.
