Queens, New York native MRG is a bilingual Dominican-American Hip-Hop recording artist. With influences from Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, J Cole, and Nas, MRG's unique musical style fuses his Caribbean heritage and New York roots. Rhyming in both English and Spanish since 2014, MRG dropped his debut project Live From The Hurst in December 2017. The six-track EP features the standout "Like I'm Lonzo," a DJ Mostwanted production in which MRG raps about disrupting corporate control over artists and athletes.

MRG was one of the top New York high school baseball prospects before enrolling at Villanova on an academic scholarship. A chance session with DMX’s team fueled his music career while pursuing his college degree. MRG first went viral with his theme song for the school’s NCAA 2016 championship run with soon-to-be NBA players Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and more. After graduating with a bachelor's in Management Information Systems, MRG landed a well-paying job as an IT consultant for a global firm. In the summer of 2018, he ditched the corporate world to focus on music full time. Since releasing his full-length debut Live From The Hurst 2 in 2019, MRG has amassed millions of streams, earned co-signs from industry heavyweights, and support from the two cornerstones of New York radio, HOT 97 and Power 105.1.

MRG's first major co-sign came from the U.K.'s Big Narstie, right before his own headlining show across the pond in 2022. It was here where he made a brief cameo in Narstie's Ed Sheeran and Papoose-assisted "Groundwork" music video. MRG's 2022 breakthrough record "Money Come," caught the attention of DJ Enuff, who was the first to play it on HOT 97. The legendary music titan Timbaland co-signed MRG's "Cap SZN" record shortly after. Zion, from the Latin Pop duo Zion Y Lennox, also took notice.

In 2025, MRG builds on his momentum with his new album It’s MRG, Not Mr. G.—an anthology of personal growth through time, trials, and tribulations. The album opens his heart and soul, sharing his life, love, and struggles through raw, expressive and introspective lyricism that spans the gamut of the human experience. The music is a sprawling soundscape of Hip-Hop, Trap, and R&B, with Latin and Caribbean influences. It showcases a unique style, blending different cultures to create a truly original sound.
