Michael “Mistah Wilson” Taylor is a Pasadena, California-based journalist, photographer, publisher, and community advocate who has dedicated over a decade to uplifting independent artists and preserving local culture through his flagship platform, ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. Founded in February 2013, the magazine began as a creative project aimed at challenging Wilson's creativity and has since evolved into a respected digital publication that is instrumental in building a foundation for the local music scene.

ThaWilsonBlock Magazine was born out of Wilson's desire to create a space where underground artists, local creatives, and community leaders could share their stories and work without the constraints of mainstream media. The magazine has featured over 300 interviews with independent artists and community figures, providing a platform for voices that might otherwise go unheard.
