"Always go with what makes you happy, don’t fall victim to someone else’s idea of beauty." @Annie-O

Mistah Wilson: Hey, Annie-O! Thank you for coming through for this exclusive interview with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine! For your audience reading this, could you give us a quick background on yourself?
Annie-O: I'm a recording artist , and engineer .. originally from Detroit Michigan but I got a lot of my game from Clayton County GA.

Mistah Wilson: How was life growing up in Detroit, Michigan for you?
Annie-O: I had a pretty good childhood , my mother hustled for everything and by dad got high on his own supply, typical Detroit stuff I guess.

Mistah Wilson: First off, we have to mention your music video for "By Myself". Tia Culver sent it to us and we truly enjoyed the song from start to finish! What inspired the song and how was the experience shooting the video?
Annie-O: I used to be apart of a group, never could meet eye to eye with the members , always have felt like I wasted years my life tryna be a group when I should’ve did it alone and honestly I’ve gotten further faster this way, I decided to shoot a video in my neighborhood to show the growth of circumstances and my change of environment.

Mistah Wilson: What current and upcoming projects do you have in the works?
Annie-O: I have a project I’m really hoping to drop in September reaching out to some different type of vibes.

Mistah Wilson: Who are some music influences that have helped shape the artist you are today?
Annie-O: Definitely Tupac I was raised off him lol but Lil Kim and Foxy Brown showed me that girls can do it too!

Mistah Wilson: It can be quite challenging for Women in the music business these days considering how dominated it is by male artists. What message do you want to send to young aspiring girls who have ambitions to pursue music?
Annie-O: Always go with what makes you happy, don’t fall victim to someone else’s idea of beauty.
Mistah Wilson: How important is giving back to the community for you?
Annie-O: Very important, a lot of times people accumulate money from their supports but forget to show genuine appreciation.

Mistah Wilson: Where can people find and follow you online?
Annie-O: I’m available on all social networks at @annieoakley_cl and my music is available everywhere you can hear music.

Mistah Wilson: Hey, Annie-O thank you so much for coming through for this exclusive interview with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. We look forward to following and supporting you throughout your career. Peace.
