Flee Lord has had a meteoric rise in the last couple of years. With monthly releases in 2020 he pushed his way into the upper echelon of underground Hip-Hop. In 2021 he has largely focused on developing his Lord Mobb crew and label. However, he wasn’t going to let a year pass without giving heads at least a few high grade offerings. He dropped a full-length album titled “Delgado” with the infallible Roc Marciano on production. And this week he will gift listeners a collab project with songstres Tiona Deniece , who is best known for her work with Westside Gunn and Griselda. The first leak off the album is “All I Need,” a fusion of Rap and R&B in the vein of Mary J. Blige and Method Man’s classic single of the same name. Producer Spitzwell serves up a cascading piano sample that leaves plenty of room for Tiona’s plush vocals. Dunbar are one of the most underrated groups in the game. Made up of Amityville, Long Island emcees  BunchyCartier and Sure Shot , Dunbar have been putting out high quality Street Hop since 2016-17. Not only do they deserve more shine but they could easily have Top 20 hits with their sing-song hooks and mellifluous flows. Your Old Droog is a 32 year old MC from Brooklyn, New York who caught my attention when he dropped his self-titled debut & many first thought he was an alter ego of Nas given that their voices are somewhat similar. Nonetheless, the cat has reached legend status at this point by proving that he was in his own lane off later projects such as  Packs  &  It Wasn’t Even Close . He just dropped the incredibly personal  TIME  over the summer & with only 1 month left in the fall, Droog’s celebrating Cyber Monday by dropping his 8th full-length album. The titular intro sets it all off with Droog on top of a drumless, atmospheric instrumental talking about living like a Saudi Prince whereas “Cosmonaut” follows it up by going into boom bap territory spitting them battle bars. “Yuri” incorporates a psychedelic rock sample with the help of Nicholas Craven speaking on making money like a Rothschild these days, but then “White Russian” has a bit of a quirky beat...

Smalls & Ant-Live were respectively 18 and 20 years old (Not to be confused with Ant-Live from New York, who was Eric B's brother... RIP). The third member of the group was Don , 22, their DJ. Don and Ant-Live grew up together in North Philadelphia at 17th and Jefferson streets and started out together.  Big E. Smalls, another solo MC met at school, teamed up with Ant-Live after that. In a Philadelphia Tribune article from May 7, 1993 written by Monica McCollum, the group members described themselves as " Hardcore and Real " and said that " they were the sure shots of rap ". Ant-Live said " We are on the positive level but we are real. We don't cuss.We don't try to be something that we're not. It's about being real, and putting philly on the map, we represent our city.
