  Jabari Kyriq Capers (born June 16, 1998), better known by his stage name “Kyriq”, is an American rapper, songwriter, and poet from Houston Texas. He began his journey as a poet/spoken word artist; winning several poetry slams including the Miami’s MLK Oratorical Contest (2010 and 2013) and Young Talent Big Dreams Spoken Word Competition (2015).  In 2017, Kyriq was crowned the winner of the Broken Complex “State of the Union Rap Contest” and Dizzy Wright’s “The Golden Age Rap Contest”.
