The indigenous Hip Hop community is a small yet growing scene with new wave conscious artists using their creativity to spread awareness for change. When changes are not made, and voices are not being heard for indigenous rights Cody Coyote out of Ontario, Canada is stepping in and fighting back with his music. Being Ojibwe/Irish descent with ancestry from Matachewan First Nation, he uses Hip Hop as a form of expression to give a voice to the voiceless. “ Passage ” is the latest album by Cody Coyote released this year consisting of 11 meaningful tracks.
