From Dallas to the Boom Bap Pantheon: Amadeus360 Reinvents Classic Hip-Hop with “The MPC Jedi”

Dallas-born producer Amadeus360 is carving out a unique legacy in the world of underground Hip-Hop. Blending deep-rooted spirituality with sharp technical skill, Amadeus360 takes his name from classical maestro Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and infuses it with the philosophical depth of the Five Percent Nation—where “360” signifies complete knowledge of self. His signature sound—marked by intricate scratch techniques and masterful flips of obscure samples—pays homage to ‘90s Boom Bap while boldly pushing the genre forward.

Mentored by the legendary Kid Capri, Amadeus spent the '90s fine-tuning his craft before deus stepping fully into the spotlight as a producer. His breakout moment arrived in 2008 when British Hip-Hop pioneers The Brotherhood used one of his beats for the cross-continental collaboration "U.K Connect NYC." Since then, his production credits have become a roll call of Hip-Hop royalty: Kool G Rap, Busta Rhymes, Paul Wall, Sheek Louch, C.L. Smooth, M.O.P., Ras Kass, Masta Ace, and many others have all laced tracks over his gritty, soulful beats.

In 2020, Amadeus360 paid tribute to the late Sean Price with “VSOP”, a powerful collaboration between Ruste Juxx and Rockness Monsta. The track reimagined Pete Rock’s classic “T.R.O.Y.” sample—earning not only respect from fans but also a cosign from Pete Rock himself, who appeared in the official video.

With collaborative albums alongside Termanology (360) and Ruste Juxx (James Brown of the Underground), plus a series of well-received mixtapes, Amadeus360 has steadily built a name for himself. His 2023 release The MPC Jedi stands as his magnum opus—a full-circle moment that fuses technical mastery with the raw energy of golden-era Hip-Hop.

Whether digging in the crates or flipping the script on classic samples, Amadeus360 is redefining what it means to be a Boom Bap producer in the modern era—and he’s doing it on his own terms.
