Everton Mlalazi Dominates the Zimbabwean Radio Charts
Minister of the word through gospel music, Everton Mlalazi, has made history for himself after releasing a series of gospel singles between 2020 and 2022, that have been present and leading in the Zimbabwe chart shows.
These chart shows are compiled for the people and the public vote who they think made the most impact through out the year.
In 2020 Mlalazi released “Uyingcwele” which broke the record on Star Fm for being number 1 five weeks consecutively on the Great Gospel and later on became the number 3 on overall top 50 gospel songs of the year in 2020.
Uyingcwele and Ekhaya made it into the Skys Metro Fm and Classic263 radio annual top 50 with uyingwecel in the top 10 at number eight.
Everton Mlalazi has collaborated with the biggest musicians in the gospel industry, his collaboration with Minister Michael Mahendere landed him the number one spot in the Star FM top 50 in 2021,with the song Pfugama unamate.
However in 2022, Everton Mlalazi and the band Worship Therapy was making an impact and changing lives this was evident in the end of year chart shows, when once again his single Ndokutewera was present in every gospel chart show in Zimbabwe , the song was number 2 on ZBC Radio Zimbabwe Top 50 Gospel Chart show, Number 3 Sky Metro FM top 100,number 4 on Star Fm. ZBC Classic263 had Ndokutewera on number 7 and his single Bambelela as the biggest song of the year 2022.
Speaking to him in an interview he said:
“I am really grateful for the support that the songs are receiving in the country and to humbled to know that the message is spreading nation wide and beyond our borders, thank you to the radio stations that play our music and help us in our goal to provide worship therapy.”
“I acknowledge and appreciate my manager Gamu Mlalazi who works tirelessly to ensure that the band and I have everything we need to create magic in the studio, the producer and the band ,I thank God every day for this team and by God’s grace we will continue to deliver in 2023.”
